Alvaro Cortes is the latest player being tipped to leave Barcelona before the close of the transfer window next week.
The 21-year-old center-back has been with the first-team for pre-season but has now decided to leave, according to a new report from Diario Sport.
The report claims that Barcelona have decided to sign a new center-back which means Cortes will be moved on to make room for the new signing.
Cortes already has offers to leave, including one from Elche, and must now decide where he wants
to play his football next season.
News that Cortes may leave this late in the window comes as something of a surprise it had looked as though he would stay and be part of the first-team squad.
Hansi Flick said he was happy with his defensive options when quizzed about his backline in today’s pre-match press conference, but the rumor mill seems to think there may be changes before the window closes.
