With German football teetering on the edge of irrelevance, it seems a little weird that Bayern Munich supervisory board member Uli Hoeneß remains so skeptical of new coach Jürgen Klopp.
Last week, Hoeneß cautioned everyone against worshipping false gods and has now doubled down to hammer home his point.
“He will certainly work very hard and do many things differently, which would certainly make many things better. But you have to give him time, and mustn’t believe that he is the Messiah. He is the best
solution we can have in Germany. I hope he ultimately lives up to the praise he has received in advance. I’ll meet him at some point and we’ll have very good talks,” Hoeneß said.
The Bayern Munich elder statesman seems oddly skeptical of Klopp and how excited fans are about the new coach. Fans probably should not expect greatness right away, but — as stated at Bavarian Podcast Works — we really do not have a choice.
It’s Klopp or nothing — this is the way.
He might fail horribly (which would not make him much different than everyone else who has taken the helm in the last dozen years) or he might enact change that right the ship for years to come.
Simply put, you gotta believe.

Bayern Munich has Rodrigo Dudok on trial and could potentially see a long-term relationship with the player if he can continue to prove his mettle:
Rodrigo Dudok, the 19-year old Uruguayan winger on trial at FC Bayern, training at Säbener Straße today. Dudok will return to Uruguay after the end of the trial. But a similar path to Bara Sapoko Ndiaye is not out of the question for him, provided he impresses.
