Hansi Flick has sent out a strong message to Marc Casado once again and made it clear he does not want him to leave Barcelona in the January transfer window.
Casado’s name has been cropping up in the rumor
mill as we head towards the close of the window, with Atletico Madrid and Galatasaray thought to be keen.
Flick has already seen Dro Fernandez ask to leave the club this winter and does not want to see any more departures.
“For me, we have no choice regarding someone leaving the club,” Flick told reporters after the win over Real Oviedo.
“We need everyone. I can say Casado is an absolute professional, he gives everything in training, and today he deserved to start. He worked well in the match and I appreciate what I saw from him.”
Casado was handed a rare start against Real Oviedo and could see more minutes against FC Copenhagen in the Champions League, with Pedri out due to injury and Frenkie de Jong suspended.
