I figured this would be Max Scherzer’s last MLB start, but the Jays are talking about having him start (on short rest). I don’t see the point. Why would that be an idea? Is it some idea he can pass Justin Verlander for eighth on the all-time strikeout list. Verlander is 10 ahead of Max.
I guess it doesn’t matter, Max will have long rest before his next start. I wonder if he is thinking of another season?
Vlad is out for game one, but apparently might play in game two. Again I don’t see why, give him
an extra day.
Well…..cross that out, Vlad is now in the lineup for game one batting second.
Yohendrick Pinango, Chase Lee, CJ Van Eyk and John Klein are all with the team. One or some of them could be active for game two. I’d imagine Pinango would be dependent on Bateman’s status. Van Eyk would be the one who could give them the most innings, so I’d say he’s the most likely to be active for game two.
