Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Washington Commanders fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate
in the weekly emailed surveys.
This week’s survey will have three questions, with a strong focus on Washington’s draft picks under Adam Peters.
Question 1
The first is our standard question that is asked every week of the season (until December, anyway), asking about your confidence in the team’s direction.
Question 2
In today’s second question, we ask you to grade Washington’s 2024 Friday & Saturday draft class as a whole — so, not including Jayden Daniels from Round 1 — based on what you know about the eight players to date.
As a reminder, here is a list of the eight players with a few facts about each one.
Round 2
Pick 36 – Johnny Newton
2024 – Played 16 games, 51% of defensive snaps. 44 tackles; 6 TFL; 2 sacks; 1 forced fumble; 1 fumble recovery.
2025 – 5 games, 34% of defensive snaps. 8 tackles; 2 TFL; 1 sack; an important tipped pass vs Chargers
Pick 50 – Mikey Sainristil
Snap counts: 2024 = 90% ; 2025 = 90% (2025, 26% of special teams snaps; one critical offsides penalty)
2024 – 60.4% comp rate; 12.8 yds p/comp; 7.7 yds/tgt; 6 TD allowed; 96.7 pass rating against; 235 YAC; 4 blitz
2025 – 77.8% comp rate; 15.5 yds p/com; 12.1 yds/tgt; 2 TD allowed; 114.4 pass rating against; 87 YAC; 1 blitz
Pick 53 – Ben Sinnott
snap counts: 2024 = 27% offense/33% on ST ; 2025 = 29% offense/33% ST
2024 – 5 rec, 28 yds; 1 TD – PFF blocking grades: run=73.7 / pass=30.4
2025 – 1 rec, 7 yds; 0 TD – PFF blocking grades: run=62.3 / pass=81.0
Round 3
Pick 67 – Brandon Coleman
Coleman was active for 16 games in 2024 with 12 starts at left tackle. The Commanders traded for Laremy Tunsil in the offseason and shifted Coleman to LG. He started 2 games at the new position before being benched in Week 3 in favor of 4th year player, Chris Paul. Coleman has been inactive for the past three games with little explanation offered by coaches.
Pick 100 – Luke McCaffrey
Offensive snap counts – 2024 = 36% ; 2025 = 28%
ST snap counts – 2024 = 11% / 2025 = 48%
Kick returns – 2024 = 10 returns (29.9 avg) long = 47 yds / 2025 = 12 returns (31.4 avg) long = 58 yds
Receiving –
2024= 18 rec; 168 yds; 9.3 ypr; 0 TD; long=30 yds; 75% catch%
2025=7 rec; 146 yds; 20.9 avg; 2 TD; long=50 yds; 77.8 catch %
Round 5
Pick 139 – Jordan Magee
Magee played only 15 defensive snaps in 2024, though he did play 146 ST snaps. His defensive snaps have been ramping up slowly in 2025 (in 4 games: 2, 4, 6, 12 snaps in weeks 1, 2, 3, 5 respectively). He has also increased his special teams snaps to 79%. He tallied 9 tackles in 2024 and 6 (so far) in 2025.
Pick 161 – Dominique Hampton
A safety in college, the Commanders apparently planned to use Hampton as a linebacker. He played just 6 special teams snaps in 2024, and was released by the team early in training camp this offseason. He has not signed with another team.
Round 7
Pick 222 – Javontae Jean-Baptiste
2024 – 25% def snaps; 13% ST snaps / 13 tackles; 1 TFL; 1 sack
2025 – before getting injured and going on IR: 30% defense/12% ST snaps – 6 tackles; 1 TFL; 1 sack
Question 3
In today’s third question, we ask you to grade Washington’s 2025 draft class as a whole based on what you know about the five players to date.
As a reminder, here is a list of the five players with a few facts about each one.
Round 1 – Pick 29 – Josh Conerly
Conerly has stepped in as the Commanders starting right tackle from Day 1. For what they’re worth, here are PFF’s stats and grades for Conerly’s 5 games:

Round 2 – Pick 61 – Trey Amos
Trey Amos has played on 76% of Washington’s defensive snaps in his short 5-game career. Again, for reference, here are his PFF scores for those 5 games:

Round 4 – Pick 128 – Jayln Lane
As a punt returner, Lane has 12 returns for 177 yards (14.8 avg) and a 90-yard TD.
As a receiver, in 116 snaps, he has 13 targets, 6 receptions, 45 yards (long of 16) with no drops, earning 3 first-downs
Round 6 – Pick 208 – Kain Medrano
Medrano has been active for only 1 games so far, and has played just 9 special teams snaps, without recording a stat.
Round 7 – Pick 245 – Bill Croskey-Merritt
Bill won the Pepsi Zero Rookie of the Week award in Week 1. This week, he is nominated for that award again, as well as the FedEx Ground Player of the Week award. On Sunday, Tom Brady gave him the “Let’s F***ing GO!” award for his play against the Chargers (150 scrimmage yards, including 111 rushing, and 2 TDs). He leads the NFL in yards per carry and rushing touchdowns, and is top-3 or top-5 in a variety of other advanced metrics.
Bill was good enough in training camp that Adam Peters traded away last year’s starting RB, Brian Robinson.
Comments & Results
Of course, we invite you to answer the survey questions below, but also feel free to expand on your answers and provide nuance in the comments section. I rely on those comments when discussing the results of the survey when they are posted in a separate article the next few days.
