Many fans were hoping to see Aleksandar Pavlović and Tom Bischof as the starting midfield for Bayern Munich, but alas, NEITHER player is available due to illness.
The sick (not in the good way) midfield duo joins Konrad Laimer (suspension), Manuel Neuer (muscle fiber tear), Sacha Boey (ill), Kim Min-jae (knee problems) and Joshua Kimmich (ankle issues) on the list of players dealing with, well, something. That does not even include Jamal Musiala, who is out with a long-term injury.
Because of the run
of bad luck, Kimmich has not actually traveled to Heidenheim as well:
Vincent Kompany will have to do without the suspended Konrad Laimer, the injured Manuel Neuer (muscle fiber tear), and the ill Aleksandar Pavlović, Tom Bischof, and Sacha Boey today. Minjae Kim is also absent due to knee problems, Joshua Kimmich due to ankle issues. However, Kimmich has traveled with the team.
This is…crazy! Hopefully, Vincent Kompany brought his boots…just in case. Seriously, though, the starting lineup is below:
