Fabio Grosso’s first Serie A game with Fiorentina has presented us with no end of curveballs. João Mário goes to leftback so Dodô can slot in on the right but the big news is up front. Franco Mastantuono starting over Albert Guðmundsson makes some sense but Mateo Pellegrino over Moise Kean all but confirms the rumors that the Moose is heading to Como in the next couple days.
Gian Piero Pellegrini hasn’t done anything quite as wacky with his Roma side but there are surprises there too. The main one is that
new signing Rodrigo Mora goes straight into the XI. 18-year-old Emmanuele Lulli gets the nod at wingback ahead of Nahuel Molina on the right. Gasperini, of course, will be bombarded with love and affection from the Viola fans after a travel ban prevented them from serenading their favorite coach in Serie A last year.
