The latest Kansas City Chiefs news
One set of data shows the Chiefs actually get little help from NFL referees | The Kansas City Star
But Foeller wrote that he created FORCE rankings with the hopes of finding “objective ways to quantify as much as possible, including penalty luck. You can debate whether individual penalties were called correctly. But teams scoring higher here measurably benefited more from the penalties officials actually called.”
That FORCE ranking had the Chiefs at No. 30 in the NFL going into the “Monday Night Football” game for penalty impact. No. 1 on the list? The Chargers, who are 0-3.
Kansas City Chiefs Offensive Shift Roots Back to Last Season | Athlon Sports
The Chiefs had this epiphany in mind last season when they tried to acquire New York Jets running back Breece Hall before the NFL Trade Deadline, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz. The Chiefs realized acquiring a star running back would bring the safeties down into the box, which, alongside a play-action threat, would open up Mahomes’ deep ball.
Chiefs turn Arrowhead into a dental clinic for 300 local kids | KCTV 5
More than 300 local kids lined up at Arrowhead Stadium on Tuesday for free dental exams, treatment and screenings as the Kansas City Chiefs and GEHA hosted TeamSmile.
The event marked the 20th anniversary of TeamSmile, a nationwide movement that started in Kansas City. Dentists set up inside the stadium to offer free checkups, fillings and ongoing care to kids of all abilities.
‘It felt kind of unreal’ — After early interception and injury, Kansas City Chiefs CB Mansoor Delane is chasing more takeaways | A to Z Sports
After Week 3’s win over the Miami Dolphins, Delane took time in the locker room to talk about his first career NFL interception and what came next.
“Yeah, that was crazy,” Delane said. “It felt kind of unreal. Three plays, I get a pick. Like I’m thinking I’m going to get like a pick every four or five plays. (laughter) That’s not the case, but it was a great moment. Monday Night Football, but that’s in the past. Now we’re trying to get some more picks.”
Raiders Have Sneaky Edge Over Chiefs in AFC West Race | Heavy Sports
“Projecting six wins out of the team’s remaining schedule (without any real upsets) doesn’t seem ridiculous whatsoever. The Raiders still have games with the Titans, Cardinals, Jets, Browns and the limping Patriots.”
The Chiefs will also face the Cardinals, Jets, and Patriots, but have a much tougher matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals instead of the Browns. The Raiders also get to face the likes of the Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Rams, and Seattle Seahawks at home, while Kansas City will play them on the road.

New York Giants to release Odell Beckham Jr.: Sources | The Athletic
After releasing Beckham, the Giants will have just three wide receivers on their 53-man roster: Malik Nabers, rookie Malachi Fields and Darnell Mooney. The expectation is that WR/PR Braxton Berrios will be signed to the active roster after the team exhausted his practice-squad elevation eligibility the first three weeks.
The Giants do not currently plan to bring Beckham back to the practice squad, according to a league source.
Steelers’ Ramsey says he has broken wrist, uncertain for Thursday | ESPN
“I got to be able to protect it, obviously,” Ramsey said Tuesday. “[It’s a] broken wrist, so it’s not like I can’t really do anything about it. It’s just going to be about seeing if I’m able to protect it and also still be myself in a good enough capacity where I feel like if I go out there, I won’t be letting any of my teammates down.”
Ramsey, 31, said he sustained the injury on the first series of the Week 3 game. Even so, he still played every defensive snap and finished with eight tackles.
Josh Allen remains the MVP favorite, but Brock Purdy is lurking | Pro Football Talk
Allen has gone from +500 to +260 to win his second NFL MVP award. Behind him currently is 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy, at +425.
Purdy deserves to be high on the list. The 49ers are 3-0, and Purdy has an off-the-charts passer rating of 133.1. He has nine touchdown passes on only 83 attempts, with one interception. He’s averaging 9.5 yards per attempt. Purdy also has 93 rushing yards and a touchdown.

The Chiefs are the fourth-most explosive offense in the NFL
Walker has the third-most runs of 10 or more yards in the NFL, according to NFL Next Gen Stats; he sits behind only the Bills’ running back James Cook and the Detroit Lions’ back Jahmyr Gibbs. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes has also had a couple of runs over 10 yards.
Kelce has two monster gains on his 2026 highlight reel so far, but he is one of six Chiefs players to record a reception for 20 or more yards this year. Mahomes has been spreading the rock this year, and the threat of a handoff has allowed more space for his pass catchers to work.
