The Duke Chronicle’s next two player profiles are up, and these are of Jacob Theodosiou and Maxime Meyer.
Meyer is a Canadian who was rated a 4-star prospect, for what it’s worth. He’s going to be behind Pat Ngongba, Cameron Williams, and JoJo Boumtje Boumtje for now, but his long-term potential is quite high. In the immortal words of former Clemson coach Cliff Ellis, he’s agile, mobile and (hopefully a little) hostile. The biggest thing to keep in mind about him is that he is improving
quite rapidly, but he could be helpful defensively inside as a freshman.
Theodosiou, of course, is a senior transfer from Loyola of Maryland. He is the latest in a line of portal recruits that Scheyer brings in for character, depth, and to help in practice.
Theodosiou is better than most of those guys have been, but the depth ahead of him is insane, so he won’t get a lot of minutes. However, he’s a lifelong Duke fan, and he gets to finish his career as a member of the Brotherhood, which, really, is pretty cool.
