Some notes
- For the Chiefs, left tackle Josh Simmons (personal) missed his seventh straight practice. It now seems more and more likely that he will not be back until after the Week 10 bye — if then.
- Running back Isiah Pacheco (knee) did not participate on Wednesday. He was reported to have suffered an MCL sprain on Sunday.
- Head coach Andy Reid doesn’t think Pacheco will miss much time. “We’ll just see how he’s moving around,” he told reporters on Wednesday. “But [he’s] a tough kid. There was a point there [on Monday] where he wanted to go back in. I wouldn’t let him. But that’s how he’s wired. [You’d] have to cut his leg off [to keep him out].”
- Wide receiver Hollywood Brown (illness) also did not participate.
- There was good news, however. Although he was a limited participant, right guard Trey Smith (back) returned to the practice field. That is an upgrade from last week, when he missed all three of the team’s practices before missing Monday night’s game.
- The Bills also had three players held out on Wednesday: rotational wide receiver Josh Palmer (knee – ankle), rotational defensive tackle DaQuan Jones (calf) and reserve running back (and special teamer) Ray Davis (illness). It appears that neither Palmer or Jones is likely to play on Sunday.
- Starting defensive end Joey Bosa and backup defensive tackle Jordan Phillips were limited to get some rest.
- Rotational linebacker Shaq Thompson (hamstring) and placekicker Matt Prater (right calf) were also limited on Wednesday.
- Buffalo also had some good news. Starting linebackers Terrel Bernard (ankle) and Matt Milano (pectoral) were full participants. The team expects to have both of them back for Sunday’s game
