2025 was a weird year on a lot of levels.
Personally, I started the year sitting on my couch, hoping I wouldn’t have to evacuate due to the Palisades Fire in Los Angeles. Yesterday, I wrote this article
from my couch in Scottsdale after moving back in July.
Last week, I recapped the Colorado Rockies’ offseason roster moves
, but in talking to my fellow Rowers, we realized how much happened with the 2025 Rockies — that we all forgot about!Yes, it was a historically bad season, but there was so much that happened in the midst of everything.

Clint Hurdle started 2025 as an assistant to the general manager for the Rockies, then moved to be the interim hitting coach after Hensley Meulens was fired and then interim bench coach when Bud Black and Mike Redmond were fired. It looks like he’ll remain part of the team in 2026, but he and Paul DePodesta are still working out the role and logistics. Patrick Saunders also answers other fan questions.
