When Indiana men’s basketball’s 2025-26 schedule was released earlier this year, one date jumped off the page immediately: December 6.
No matter what, the Hoosiers would take on Louisville for a semi-home
game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. It makes sense, the program makes efforts to get to the state’s capital most seasons and has a court ready with the logo and everything.
But what made this one special was the possibility of an overlap. If football had another dream season, there was a chance for an incredible doubleheader with the Big Ten Football Championship Game taking place later that evening.
Well, one perfect 12-0 season later and that’s come to pass. No. 2 Indiana will take on No. 1 Ohio State for the conference title in the evening after the No. 22 men’s basketball Hoosiers take on the No. 6 Cardinals just a short walk away in the afternoon.
When surveyed earlier this week, 58% of Hoosier fans who stated they’d be in Indianapolis indicated that they’d be going to both games:
