Welcome to March, which means corned beef, a handful of fake springs in Central Ohio and the NCAA Tournament.
Ohio State women’s basketball is back in the annual tournament for the fifth season in a row, and the fourth time hosting the first two rounds of tournament. The Buckeyes host the Howard Bison on Saturday, with a potential matchup on Monday with either the Fairfield Stag or Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Regardless of what happens in Columbus, you can be part of all of the women’s basketball action
this March with the Land-Grant Women’s Basketball Challenge.
It is simple, head to this link and sign up for the group. Then, make your picks for who you think wins the NCAA Tournament by 11:30 a.m. ET on Friday, March 20. It costs nothing to play and all scoring gets updated real time from the fine computers at ESPN.
If you win, you will receive a moderately priced souvenir from the first and second round games in Columbus. That item and its value is unknown, which adds an element of intrigue to this year’s challenge. Also, you get one word that Thomas Costello, Land-Grant’s women’s basketball beat writer, and the author of this article, has to put in an article this offseason.
The word has to be respectable, no words unsuitable for print. In previous seasons, people won books, shoutouts and the pride of a job well done. Winners still get the pride of a job well done.
Sign up, sit back and enjoy all of the basketball over the next month.
