Let’s run through a Philadelphia Eagles-focused rooting guide for all of the Week 6 games.

Note that we’re currently approaching this activity from the perspective of the Eagles being interested in maximizing the 2026 season. If the Eagles continue to lose, we might not take long to shift to the perspective of the Eagles being interested in maximizing their position in the 2027 NFL Draft.

EAGLES GAME

CAROLINA PANTHERS at PHILADELPHIA EAGLES: If the Eagles are going

to turn their season around, they need to snap their three-game losing streak. Go Birds.

NFC EAST

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS at NEW YORK GIANTS: The Giants currently have a 1.5-game lead in the division over the second-place Eagles. Root for the Saints.

DALLAS COWBOYS at GREEN BAY PACKERS: Even if the Eagles don’t win on Sunday, they’ll stay ahead of the Cowboys in the division if Dallas loses. Root for the Packers.

WASHINGTON COMMANDERS at SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS: The Eagles need to stay ahead of the Commanders. Root for the 49ers.

NFC PLAYOFF PICTURE

CHICAGO BEARS at ATLANTA FALCONS: The Bears are the bigger threat in the conference. Root for the Falcons.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS at TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS: AFC team over NFC team. Root for the Steelers.

ARIZONA CARDINALS at LOS ANGELES RAMS: The Rams are the bigger threat in the conference. Root for the Cardinals.

WHAT’S LEFT

HOUSTON TEXANS at JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS: The Eagles play the Texans later this season. With the hope that the Eagles will beat them, you want the Texans to have as good of a record as possible to help boost Philly’s strength of victory tiebreaker. (Also, the Texans are currently ahead of the Eagles in the 2027 NFL Draft order.) Root for the Texans.

BALTIMORE RAVENS at CLEVELAND BROWNS: The Eagles own the Ravens’ fifth-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft following the Cam Jurgens trade. Better to see Baltimore lose. Root for the Browns.

NEW YORK JETS at NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS: The Eagles own the more favorable of two 2027 fifth-round picks either from the Pats or Bears. Might as well root against New England. Root for the Jets.

LOS ANGELES CHARGERS at KANSAS CITY CHIEFS: The only potential Eagles impact here is the Chargers currently being ahead of the Eagles in the draft order. Root for the Chargers.

BUFFALO BILLS at LAS VEGAS RAIDERS: No Eagles impact.

TENNESSEE TITANS at INDIANAPOLIS COLTS: No Eagles impact.
