The last time the Seattle Seahawks played the San Francisco 49ers, it was a 41-6 romp in the NFC Divisional Round. It was the first time the Seahawks had beaten the 49ers at Lumen Field since 2021, and now their first meeting since that playoff beating is arguably the biggest regular season game of the 2026 NFL season.
If the Seahawks win, they’ll assume top spot in the NFC West on tiebreaker. If the 49ers win, they’ll hold a two game lead plus the tiebreaker on the Seahawks, plus remain perfect on the season.
There’s a lot at stake here, and for all of the uneasiness over the Seahawks’ 3-1 start, they can ease a lot of concerns by getting the better of their division rivals again. Oh yeah, and no matter what happens today, the Seahawks still have a Super Bowl in the 49ers stadium.
Let’s chat about this game! We have consistently been north of 4,500 comments in all of our game threads, and the last couple of weeks we’ve eclipsed 5,000 without even needing overtime! Many of you have downloaded the new SB Nation App, which is available for download in the United States and Canada and hopefully is coming to more countries soon! The game chat function is awesome and you can toggle off “live mode” to avoid spoilers if your broadcast is lagging. But if you want to live in “live mode” then here’s how that looks!
FOX has the kickoff at 1:25 pm PT. You know the drill…
