The New England Patriots are not out of the woods yet.
Wide receiver Mack Hollins as well as cornerbacks Christian Gonzalez, Carlton Davis III and Karon Prunty and all stayed sidelined during Wednesday’s practice in Foxborough.
The active roster’s four absences were joined by a long line of limited participants to begin work on the Las Vegas Raiders, including running back Rhamondre Stevenson and defensive tackle Christian Barmore.
Here’s the first injury report leading up to Sunday’s 1 p.m. ET kickoff
at Gillette Stadium.
DID NOT PARTICIPATE
Patriots
- WR Mack Hollins (calf)
- CB Christian Gonzalez (shoulder)
- CB Carlton Davis III (neck)
- CB Karon Prunty (hamstring)
Raiders
- WR Jalen Nailor (concussion)
Hollins started but did not finish last Sunday’s 29-26 upset at Highmark Stadium. Atop team in targets, receptions and receiving yards, the eldest statesman in the wideout room went to the sideline on one leg in the third quarter and was announced as questionable to return with a calf injury. It was sustained in non-contact fashion.
As for the secondary’s empty shelves, Gonzalez did not practice last week before being ruled out due to a shoulder injury. Fast forward to Wednesday, the extended All-Pro remained missing for a fourth consecutive session. The cornerback depth chart also practiced without Davis due to a neck injury and Prunty due to a hamstring injury. While the veteran starter stayed in to play all 59 defensive snaps versus the Buffalo Bills, the fifth-round pick by way of Kansas, North Carolina A&T and Wake Forest saw 18 snaps on special teams.

Patriots
- RB Rhamondre Stevenson (knee)
- FB Reggie Gilliam (ankle, knee)
- OT Morgan Moses (foot)
- DT Christian Barmore (shoulder)
- LB Dre’Mont Jones (shoulder)
- LB Christian Elliss (chest)
- CB Charles Woods (shoulder)
- CB Channing Canada (hamstring)

Raiders
- WR Cody White (ankle)
- TE Brock Bowers (knee)
- G Jackson Powers-Johnson (groin)

Stevenson hobbled off on the final drive in Orchard Park. His afternoon there spanned 47 rushing yards, 27 receiving yards, a touchdown and a two-point conversion. And a knee injury. Yet the starting running back was officially among nine partial participants to begin the new week.
So was Barmore across the line of scrimmage. A shoulder injury had kept No. 90 out for three straight practices on the way to landing among New England’s inactives. The defensive tackle was back on hand Wednesday after head coach Mike Vrabel hinted he “may do some things.” The same availability went for an undrafted rookie corner in Canada, who had been downgraded from questionable on the eve of the 1 p.m. ET divisional kickoff because of a hamstring injury.
FULL PARTICIPATION
Patriots
- QB Drake Maye (right shoulder)
- S Brenden Schooler (back — NFI return)
Raiders
- RB Ashton Jeanty (ankle)
- WR Dont’e Thornton Jr. (hamstring — IR return)
- LB Segun Olubi (wrist)
After residing on the previous series of injury reports, Maye’s throwing shoulder remained listed on Wednesday. New England’s quarterback did not carry a game designation before becoming AFC Offensive Player of the Week. He completed 22-of-37 passes for 269 yards and three touchdowns during the road trip, adding a team-high and season-high 54 rushing yards.
The Patriots currently carry two open spots on the 53-man roster, but do not expect to open 21-day activation windows this week for those on injured reserve who are eligible. That’s according to the head coach. A 2025 special teams captain awaits his return from the non-football injury list, however, after going from limited participation in September to full participation in October.
