We are going to add a little injury to insult. Obviously the insult is the Dallas Cowboys losing to the formerly winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers. At home. Against a rookie UDFA replacement quarterback. I probably didn’t need to remind you of that.
The injury is what happened to two very important Cowboys players – CeeDee Lamb and Tyler Guyton. Fortunately, it doesn’t sound too serious in either case.
Lamb was hit on his quad and missed the latter part of the game for the most part. It was a very quiet
game for Lamb after absolutely torching the Houston Texans last week. He finished with two catches for nine yards.
Brian Schottenheimer said that Lamb got hit in the quad muscle at the same spot he got hit last week, aggravating that injury. The fact that Lamb was able to actually go out there on some plays after the injury points to nothing very serious.
Tyler Guyton has been re-born this season and has made Cowboys fans forget about supposed issues at left tackle. He came out of the game with a back injury late in the fourth quarter.
Schottenheimer said that initial x-rays looked good but that they would have to run more tests. Fortunately the Cowboys have a few extra days to heal up before they travel to play the Green Bay Packers in Week 6 on Sunday night.
