Indiana fans have every reason to be confident in Curt Cignetti’s third football team. The Hoosiers are coming off of the first national championship in program history in a run that featured wins over Oregon, Ohio State, Alabama, Oregon again and finally Miami and the 2026 group is undefeated halfway through the regular season.
That confidence will be especially tested this week with the Hoosiers set to welcome the Buckeyes for a top-5 matchup tomorrow at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington. It’ll be the toughest
regular season game for Indiana since the last time it played Ohio State, doing so on the road in 2024.
The final result of the poll was a tie, with fans indicating they were either confident or cool heading into the game:
Those two options polled at 41% each with 12% of respondents indicating some level of worry and 6% going into this one very confident in a win.
Indiana’s going to need that energy from the fans in the stadium. The Hoosiers sit as a 3.5-point underdog as of Friday evening per FanDuel Sportsbook. Indiana was also an underdog heading into last season’s Big Ten Championship Game and, well, we know how that one turned out.
