After a rough road outing against SMU, will the Heels regain their defensive form against Wake Forest at home? The Demon Deacons come to Chapel Hill at 10-6, 1-2 in ACC play. However, Wake Forest played
#1 Michigan to a one point loss in overtime and another one point loss to #13 Texas Tech. The Deacs can be dangerous.
Carolina will need an answer for Juke Harris, Wake’s leading scorer and rebounder. A 6’7” sophomore from Salisbury, NC, Harris averages almost 20 points a game. Myles Colvin, with a season high of 33, and Nate Calmese, with a season high of 28, can also put up points when needed. For Carolina, Caleb Wilson, Henry Veesar, and Jarin Stevenson provide a size advantage down low. This will be the only regular season meeting between these Tobacco Road rivals. The Heels have one shot at bragging rights over our conference neighbors in Winston-Salem.
