The Washington Commanders training camp rolls on for Day 13 in Ashburn, VA. The team was back in pads today, and this was the last practice in front of fans.
Head coach Dan Quinn spoke to reporters before the start of today’s practice. Sonny Styles and Josh Conerly Jr. are scheduled for Q&As after practice, along with players getting interviewed on the field. Quinn gave injury updates on four players that missed yesterday’s practice. Edge rushers K’Lavon Chaisson (knee) and Odafe Oweh (calf) along with LB
Jordan Magee (shoulder) are sidelined, but shouldn’t miss any regular season time.
DT Johnny Newton suffered a pec injury during Friday night’s game against the Dolphins and is in New to see a specialist. Quinn said the injury could be long-term. He was asked if they planned on bringing in anyone due to the injuries, but he pointed to the signing of Maurice Hurst II. The team also signed veteran free agent Byron Cowart recently, and Ricky Barber has been earning praise. Tim Settle is also on his way back from a calf strain, and reached another milestone in his return to play timeline recently.
