The tenth week of the NFL regular season has arrived. My Week 9 picks were pretty solid. I picked 10 of 14 games correctly, but a few upsets through my efforts for a loop. Through nine weeks I’m sitting
at 88-47 with predictions. 65-percent accuracy isn’t bad at all, but I’m hoping to fare better this week. Let’s see how well I do with the Week 10 slate of games.
Thursday Night Football — Las Vegas Raiders at Denver Broncos
Winner: Broncos
Division rivalry games in primetime are always fun. The Raiders have struggled to date, and the Broncos are winners of six in a row. I have a hard time imagining Denver dropping this one at home. I think they get their eighth win of the season against their longtime rival.
Sunday Football (Early Game) — Atlanta Falcons at Indianapolis Colts
Winner: Colts
The Colts may have lost last weekend, but this week they host a Falcons team that has dropped three in a row. I expect them to do a much better job and come out with a victory this weekend. They also traded for All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner before the trade deadline on Tuesday. It’s clear they believe they have a team that can win it all.
Sunday Football (Early Game) — Cleveland Browns at New York Jets
Winner: Browns
The Jets had a fire sale at the deadline trading away Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams. They are just a one-win team and it’s clear new GM Darren Mougey has his eyes set on the future. I’m going to choose Cleveland in this one knowing New York just traded away its two best players.
Sunday Football (Early Game) — Baltimore Ravens at Minnesota Vikings
Winner: Ravens
Both the Ravens and Vikings were able to win last weekend. I was impressed with how J.J. McCarthy performed going up against the Detroit Lions. It was a gutsy performance and certainly what Vikings fans were hoping for. The Ravens may only be a three-win team, but a healthy Lamar Jackson might make all the difference for them on the road in this one. I’ll take Baltimore on the road.
Sunday Football (Early Game) — New Orleans Saints at Carolina Panthers
Winner: Panthers
It wasn’t pretty, but somehow Bryce Young and the Panthers were able to defeat the Green Bay Packers on the road last weekend. The Saints were drubbed by the Rams and are now 1-9 on the season and in the chase for the top pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. I’m not sure they have what it takes to win on the road. I’ll happily pick Carolina.
Sunday Football (Early Game) — New York Giants at Chicago Bears
Winner: Bears
Don’t look now, but the Bears are right in the thick of it in the NFC North. At 5-3, they have a shot to surprise and be a potential playoff team in the NFC. The Giants are sputtering and have now dropped three in a row. I’m betting on Caleb Williams and the Bears’ offense to continue their recent success and earn their sixth win of the season.
Sunday Football (Early Game) — New England Patriots at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Winner: Patriots
This might be one of the most enjoyable games this weekend. Drake Maye going head-to-head against Baker Mayfield will be fun to watch. Maye and the Patriots have won six in a row, and the Buccaneers are still the clear favorites in the NFC South. I’m not sure what to make of this one, but it might wind up being a shootout. My gut tells me to pick the Patriots on the road, so I’ll be doing that.
Sunday Football (Early Game) — Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins
Winner: Bills
One of these teams is competitive coming off a great victory while the other is one of the worst in the NFL. I have no concerns about Buffalo’s ability to handle the Dolphins on the road. This should be an easy win for Josh Allen and company. I’m taking the Bills.
Sunday Football (Early Game) — Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans
Winner: Jaguars
This AFC South battle should have big implications for both teams in their pursuit of the playoffs. The Jaguars are 5-3 and the Texans are 3-5. This seems like a must-win game for the Texans who are coming off a last second loss to the Broncos. As of now, it’s unsure whether or not C.J. Stroud will be able to play as he is in concussion protocol. If he doesn’t start, Davis Mills is going to have to try to lead them to victory. That makes it hard for me to pick, but I’ll be taking the Jaguars all things considered.
Sunday Football (Late Game) — Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks
Winner: Seahawks
The Seahawks are at the top of the NFC West with a 6-2 record. They’ve really surprised me this season. They added wide receiver Rashid Shaheed to help bolster their passing attack led by Sam Darnold. The Cardinals are at the bottom of a division, and Kyler Murray may be out of this one due to injury. With that considered, I’ll be taking Seattle at home.
Sunday Football (Late Game) — Los Angeles Rams at San Francisco 49ers
Winner: Rams
The Rams and 49ers both have six wins are in a dogfight alongside the Seattle Seahawks for the top place in the NFC West. The 49ers have had a lot of injuries and it’s quite impressive they have been this competitive. However, I think the Rams will take care of business in this one. Their offense is heating up and that defense is playing great.
Sunday Football (Late Game) — Detroit Lions at Washington Commanders
Winner: Lions
The Lions are starting to get healthy and that could spell bad news for other teams in the NFL. This weekend, they head on the road to Washington who will be without Jayden Daniels once again due to suffering an elbow injury. The Commanders have really struggled this year compared to last season. I don’t see them beating the Lions even with the homefield advantage. I’m taking Detroit.
Sunday Night Football — Pittsburgh Steelers at Los Angeles Chargers
Winner: Chargers
This is definitely a game that could go either way. Both teams have had good starts to the year. Though I’m concerned with the number of injuries the Chargers have had. They just lost Joe Alt for the rest of the season. That could spell disaster for Justin Herbert and their passing attack. Even so, the Steelers’ passing defense is a mess and I think Herbert will be able to carve them up on Sunday Night Football and get the Chargers another victory.
Monday Night Football — Philadelphia Eagles at Green Bay Packers
Winner: Eagles
Both the Eagles and Packers sit atop their divisions. The Eagles are winners of two in a row while the Packers are coming off a stunning loss to the Carolina Panthers. I’m not entirely sure went wrong there, but they can’t play that badly and hope to defeat the Eagles. All things considered, I believe Philadelphia is the better team and will find a way to get a big road victory on Monday Night Football.
