Joao Cancelo has arrived in Barcelona to complete his loan move from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal.
The Portugal international is returning to Barcelona for a second stint with the Catalan giants and will spend ther rest of the season with Hansi Flick’s side.
He jetted into the city on Monday for medical tests and his move will then be officially announced. Barca have been given the green light by La Liga to sign Cancelo after it was confirmed Andreas Christensen’s injur
y is long-term.Barcelona president Joan Laporta has already confirmed that Cancelo will be a Barcelona player again.
“Cancelo is another great signing by Deco. It’s not easy to make signings in this market,” he told Jijantes. “Deco has done a great job. I want to thank the player and his agent for their efforts. Cancelo is a great and very versatile player, and Hansi Flick has given his blessing to this transfer.”
Cancelo will expand Flick’s options in defence for the rest of the season and he will be hoping to make his second debut for the club later this week.
