BYU Football is back from after a week off and hitting the road for the first time this season on Saturday night. The BYU Cougars will face the Pirates of East Carolina in Greenville, North Carolina.
The Cougars are 2-0 on the year after defeating Portland State week one then Stanford week two. That game against Stanford was on Sept. 6 and the final score was 27-3.
East Carolina, out of the American Conference, has a 2-1 record. The Pirates lost at North Carolina State on Aug. 28 by a final score of 24-17.
East Carolina has won its past two games, against the Campbell Fighting Camels, and then at Coastal Carolina. East Carolina defeated Coastal Carolina last week by a final score of 38-0.
Saturday marks the fourth meeting between BYU and East Carolina, with BYU trailing the series 1-2, losing the last time the teams met in 2022 by a final score of 27-24. BYU’s other loss to ECU came in 2017, in the first and only time they’ve played in Greenville.
