What are they auctioning? An absolutely gorgeous coffee table that’s crafted from the floor of Duke’s 2015 national championship. This is something every Duke fan would love to have in their home. Seriously – take a look at the link below. It’s a beautiful piece
of work, and a piece of history to boot.
You know you want it. Your Duke friends will all be deeply impressed and probably jealous. So bid now, because as of this moment, this auction closes Monday.
Duke fans have a unique opportunity to own a piece of Blue Devils history while supporting a meaningful cause.
Duke Stores has generously donated a coffee table crafted from the 2015 National Championship floor to benefit Hope Connection International, a nonprofit recovery and prevention center serving survivors of abuse and addiction.
For over 15 years, Hope Connection volunteers have supported Duke by working concessions at games, graduations, and other campus events. The organization is deeply grateful for the donated items from Duke Stores to help raise funds for its mission.
This support is especially critical at this time. Hope Connection recently lost the facility in Selma that housed its DejaVu Thrift Store—a key source of funding for its programs—and its Community Care Center for Hope Connection–due to the building being deemed unsafe. As a result, the organization is currently without that vital revenue stream, and much of its inventory remains in storage.
While there is hope of returning to the area of Cary in the near future, the immediate need for funding to sustain services is urgent.
Executive Director Debra Barkett expressed deep appreciation for Duke Stores—not only for helping generate essential funding through donated items, but also for increasing awareness of Hope Connection’s mission and the individuals it serves.
“Finding safe housing for domestic violence victims and families is our biggest challenge. Hope Connection needs your help so we can continue this important mission.”–Debra Barket
