The Carolina Hurricanes bring their 4-1-1 record, which puts them in first place in the Metropolitan Division, to Philadelphia, (0-4-2) where the Flyers have yet to win a game this season. They are currently last in the division.
It is funny how quickly things can change in the NHL. Last season, coach Rick Tocchet was getting accolades for getting the Flyers to the postseason. This season, some are calling for his head already. In any event, his team needs to start winning and the pressure will continue
to grow if not.
Look for the Flyers to start these lines:
The Canes are flying high right now and their team chemistry seems to have returned from where it was last postseason. I would expect Brind’Amour to keep things the same for his hot hockey club.
Since Bussi played last night, expect to see Pyotr Kochetkov between the pipes tonight.
The last time these two teams met the Hurricanes won in OT on a blast by Shayne Gostisbehere. It is amazing how many times the two teams have played to overtime.
There are several players who are on scoring streaks. For more information, check out the team’s preview next.
