The Madden 99 Club has been announced, and the Seattle Seahawks are being represented by the reigning Offensive Player of the Year:
Jaxon Smith-Njigba is the Seahawk representative for Madden 27’s 99 Club, alongside Myles Garrett, Josh Allen, Trey McBride, Ja’Marr Chase and Matthew Stafford. Of the six players with a rating of 99, four of them are represented
by NFC West teams since Garrett is now a Los Angeles Ram. Even if you do not include Garrett, that would still mean the NFC West represents half of the 99 Club this year, going to show how tough the division is.
Jaxon enters a fairly exclusive club in terms of Seahawks. Only three other Seahawks have been rated 99 at the start of the games release: Walter Jones in Madden 07, Richard Sherman in Madden 15, and Bobby Wagner in Madden 20. Russell Wilson did get a mid-season update to be 99 in Madden 21. That means overall only five Seahawks been had a rating of 99 in Madden, which is impressive given how many great players the Seahawks have had during the time Madden has been around: Marshawn Lynch, Shaun Alexander, Kam Chancellor, and Earl Thomas to name a few.
