The Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Rams are set to play a game in SoFi Stadium under the lights of Monday Night Football to close out Week 5. When the game kicks off, supremely talented edge rusher Myles Garrett won’t be on the field, per a report first shared by Lance Lysowski.
Garrett has been placed on Injured Reserve following the Rams’ Week 1 game against the San Francisco 49ers in Australia. As a result, he must sit out at least four games, beginning in Week 2. Garrett will undergo arthroscopic
knee surgery to repair the damage in hopes of rebounding for a stretch run later this season.
Buffalo won’t be completely in the clear thanks to a loaded LA roster that this season features the return of defensive tackle Aaron Donald. Bills-Rams games have been among the league’s best in recent seasons, thanks to MVP quarterbacks Josh Allen and Matthew Stafford and more.
Unfortunately for fans, Garrett won’t be part of the next game’s equation, but you can bet he’ll be often-discussed regarding a return-to-play timetable that could have him back on the field in Week 6. Time will tell if Garrett’s absence plays a huge role in the outcome of Bills-Rams, but regardless the game will be a bit less exciting without the certain future NFL Hall of Famer.
