Things nearly unraveled during Friday’s UFC 332 ceremonial weigh ins staredown between Deiveson Figueiredo and Payton Talbott, but luckily cooler heads prevailed.
UFC 332 isn’t the strongest card of the year, but Saturday’s co-main event between Figueiredo and Talbott is one of the lone bright spots. It’s a battle between a former UFC champion and one of the most promising prospects in the sport. Talbott is obviously a betting favorite heading into this weekend, but Figueirdo appears to have some
gas left in the tank.
During Friday’s UFC 332 ceremonial weigh ins (replay HERE), Figueiredo was all fired up for his final staredown with Talbott. The two bantamweights don’t have a real reason to hate each other, but it seems like there’s something personal going on. Maybe Figueiredo feels like this is his last chance to prove himself. Either way, things got a little physical and nearly came off the rails when they came face-to-face.
