The Utah Jazz, on the back end of a back-to-back, will take on the 1-9 Indiana Pacers in Salt Lake City. The Jazz come into this after two losses to the Minnesota Timberwolves. They’ve also lost 6 of their
last 7 after starting the season 2-1. The Indiana Pacers are just 1-9, but do come into this one with a day’s rest after losing to the Golden State Warriors. It does look like they may have Pascal Siakam back tonight, which gives the Pacers a real chance to win.
For Utah, a new era of basketball is underway after finally starting Ace Bailey. Bailey looked about what you’d expect. His athleticism and size jumped off the screen, and he made buckets and plays off of pure talent alone, like this incredible reverse dunk to end the game.
He had some turnovers and needs to find some consistency on defense, but things are only looking up for Utah’s promising young wing.
We’re also seeing the continual rise of Keyonte George. For the season, he’s averaging 22.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 7.1 assists. It’s a career high in field goal percentage despite a career low in 3-PT percentage. At some point, you figure that 3-point percentage will go up, and then you start looking at George as a real star in the league, maybe even a potential all-star. It will be extremely fun to see if/when he can achieve that as the years go by.
