The Michigan Wolverines are coming off a walk-off victory at Northwestern on Saturday, and they will hit the road one more time this season next weekend to face the lowly Maryland Terrapins.
The Big Ten
decided to hold off announcing the start times and TV designations for the games in Week 13 until the wee hours of Sunday morning, so we finally have all the information we need for next weekend’s game. The Wolverines and Terrapins will kickoff at 4 p.m. on Big Ten Network.
This was the last unknown kickoff time and TV designation for Michigan this season, as The Game vs Ohio State was already set for Big Noon Kickoff on FOX.
Maryland has followed its yearly tradition of starting hot and fading quickly over time. Head coach Mike Locksley’s squad was 4-0 before losing six straight games to Washington, Nebraska, UCLA, Indiana, Rutgers and Illinois. Overall, they are 4-6 overall and 1-6 in the Big Ten.
The last time the Wolverines played in College Park, they collected their 1,000th win in program history in a tight 31-24 game in 2023. This one was all Wolverines early on — leading 23-3 at one point — but the Terrapins fought tooth and nail until the clock hit 00:00. At the end of the day, Mike Sainristil’s two interceptions, Derrick Moore’s scoop-and-score, Blake Corum’s two rushing touchdowns, and a game-sealing safety on a Taulia Tagovailoa intentional grounding in the end zone helped Michigan celebrate win No. 1,000.
Michigan is on an eight-game winning streak against Maryland, with the one and only ever loss being in Maryland’s first year in the Big Ten back in 2014 (a 23-16 loss at the Big House). The Wolverines hold an 11-1 advantage in the all-time series with the Terrapins.
