Texas is in the hunt for an elite tight end prospect in the 2027 class. With the season in full swing, recruiting headlines have taken a bit of a backseat, but this is certainly something to keep an eye
on moving forward.
Per On3’s Hayes Fawcett, 2027 five-star Libertyville (IL) tight end prospect Brock Williams announced this recruitment is down to three finalists.
Williams is one of the nation’s top tight ends in the 2027 class, and according his recruiting decision will come down to three blue blood programs in Georgia, Ohio State, and Texas.
These are the kinds of recruitments you want to find yourself in if you have aspirations of being a yearly contender for the national championship. You are going to have to win big boy recruitments against teams like Georgia and Ohio State that NFL assembly lines rolling through their program.
Williams and Ahmad Hudson are the two top dawgs at the tight end position in the 2027 recruiting class, and Texas is feverishly recruiting both at this time. Texas was handed some tough beats on the recruiting trail at the position during this cycle, you can expect them to go very hard to try to land one of the elite tight ends in the upcoming class. We will see if their efforts are rewarded with Williams, as he already appears to have his choices pretty narrowed down as we head to the middle point of the football season.
Williams is rated as the 2nd ranked tight end prospect in the 2027 recruiting class by 247Sports’ composite rankings and is the 33rd ranked prospect overall in the country.
