Indiana men’s basketball’s 2025-26 season, the first under head coach Darian DeVries, doesn’t seem to have given Hoosiers fans confidence heading into DeVries’ first full offseason. At least, that’s what the results of a recent survey we ran seem to indicate.
Just under half of fans surveyed, or 49%, indicated that they weren’t very confident heading into the offseason, with 29% of respondents indicating that they were only slightly confident. The survey rounded out with 16% saying they were not at all
confident and just 6% saying they were very confident.
Indiana enters the offseason with plenty of question marks. The overwhelming majority of this past season’s rotation is out of eligibility, with only Nick Dorn and Jasai Miles entering 2026-27 with eligibility after playing key minutes to close this past season. With the transfer portal, there’s no guarantee either elects to return to Bloomington for another year.
The Hoosiers looked primed for an NCAA Tournament bid entering the final full month of the season, with FanDuel Sportsbook giving them favorable odds to make the field of 68 before a near total collapse dashed those hopes. Now Indiana enters the building period of what feels like a tournament or bust season for DeVries.
