ESPN Brazil reported on Dec. 3 that Newcastle United are exploring an immediate transfer agreement for Palmeiras midfielder Allan Elias, viewed as one of the most promising young players in Brazil.
According to the report, Palmeiras are preparing for a significant squad rebuild in 2026 and are open to sales if the price is right.
Allan currently has a £87 million (€100m) release clause, but ESPN Brazil and local sources say a final deal would almost certainly come in lower. Palmeiras have already turned
down an offer worth around £17m, and expectations are that bids in the £28m–£30m range will emerge.
The Brazilian club’s broader plan reportedly includes €70m in outgoing transfer revenue in 2026, counting only new sales — a key factor in why Allan is viewed internally as a prime outgoing asset.
Palmeiras have a strong recent track record of exporting elite prospects, including Endrick to Real Madrid (€72m) and Estevão Willian to Chelsea (up to €61.5m), and Allan is being discussed as their next major sale.
On Newcastle’s side, the interest is framed within the context of a squad that needs reinforcement but also must operate under PSR constraints.
Even with Isak’s record sale giving Newcastle breathing room, January remains a window where they have to be careful with structure and timing. That aligns with ESPN Brazil’s claim that Newcastle want an agreement now even if the player arrives later.
