The Pittsburgh Steelers are enjoying their bye week and 6-2 record. Pittsburgh’s defense has been the star of the show this season and has continued to trend in the right direction. The defensive line is ferocious, and the defense is filled with veterans and young stars. The trade of Joey Porter, Jr. looks better with each game as Daylen Everette has been excellent at cornerback.
Speaking of the coverage, what coverages has Pittsburgh leaned into in 2026? Pittsburgh is a zone coverage defense with
35.3% of coverages in Cover 3 and 23.7% in Cover 4. Cover 2 is run 14.2% of the time, with Cover 6 having the lowest total at 9.5%.
The man coverages played for Pittsburgh are Cover 1 Man at 9.1%, Cover 0 at 4.4%, and Cover 2 Man at 0.3%. The total EPA allowed per dropback is the sixth best in the NFL at -0.02.
