Bayern Munich is known for being one of the elite football clubs in all of Europe. That status was achieved through decades of perseverance. The Mia San Mia motto of the club was forged by the incredibly
high standards the club has always set for itself be it at the training pitch or on the matchday. After his arrival from Bayer Leverkusen, defender Jonathan Tah was pleasantly surprised by how locked in everyone at the club is.
In a recent interview with Abendzeitung (via @iMiaSanMia), Jonathan Tah spoke about his new club and what impressed him the most at Bayern. “The quality of training is outstanding – and the intensity. I’ve never experienced anything like it before. The fact that I can feel everyone giving their all in every training session, and that there’s never a moment when they slow down: that’s truly impressive – and the whole club exemplifies that,” said Tah highlighting the emphasis on maintaining the high standard that the club has set for themselves.
Despite being a champion himself and a professional at the highest level in Germany, Bayern managed to surprise Tah. If you recall Serge Gnabry’s early days, he too made a similar observation in a interview. Speaking to Chunkz about the trophy expectations at Bayern, Gnabry said, “Expectations are really high here, its like you should win it.” Despite pointing out the high pressure that comes from such expectations, Gnabry acknowledged that it is that very pressure that makes diamonds. Having gone on to win the sextuple in that season, it was a prophetic moment for the young Gnabry.
