With the 117th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Chargers select offensive tackle Travis Burke out of the University of Memphis. The Chargers traded up from 123 (sending both pick 123 and 204) to go up and get a massive 6’9, 325-pound offensive tackle who became a fast riser up draft boards as of late.
With no immediate need at offensive tackle, Burke fills out the team’s depth that was certainly tested thoroughly due to injuries during the 2025
season. The Chargers now have both Trey Pipkins and Burke as their backup tackles behind Rashawn Slater and Joe Alt (who no longer is the tallest player on the team!).
Burke started 44 career games in college at three different schools. He started at Gardner-Webb for two years before transferring to Florida International for another two. Finally, he spent his last year of eligibility with the Tigers where he was named First-Team All-ACC in 2025.
