Last night, the Royals beat the Athletics for the first time in five tries this season, with that they also won their 81st game, clinching at least a .500 season.
Cole Ragans will get the start today, he has
been solid since coming back from the IL. The left-hander hopes to end the season with another great start and build that momentum into next season.
Here is the Royals lineup for game 162. (Note: Bobby Witt Jr. currently leads all of the Majors with 183 hits on the season.)
The Athletics are now 76-85 on the season, one of their best seasons record wise in a couple of years. They will also be starting a left-hander, 27-year-old Brady Basso. It will be his first start this season, although he has pitched in 10 games at the MLB level this season. In those 10 games, Basso has pitched 10.1 innings and struck out eight batters, with a 1.74 ERA.
Here is the Athletics starters behind Basso for game 162.
It has been a fun ride (at times haha) this season folks. Let’s end it on a high note.
