What is the story about?

Barcelona have reportedly seen a second offer for Rodri rejected by Manchester City

and have been told to pay £70 million (€82m) to land the Spain star.

The Catalan giants made their first move with an opening bid of €45m and followed that up with an improved offer of €60m plus add-ons.

According to The Times, Manchester City are demanding £70m for their World Cup winner and the ball is now very much back in Barca’s court.

Rodri is believed to be keen to move to Barcelona and it seems that Manchester

City are already thinking about replacements.

The report adds that Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez is being eyed as a potential replacement for Rodri if he does complete a transfer to Camp Nou this summer.

Rodri is currently recovering from a back injury but is expected back at City on Friday to link up with Enzo Maresca’s side for pre-season ahead of the start of the new Premier League campaign.
