What is the story about?
The
NHL has a player freeze period during Christmas where teams cannot make moves during the holiday. Seems like a good deal for the players where they don’t have to worry about their holiday being upset by a trade or release happening.
Something for the players to think about during CBA negotiations, though one wonders how much it would affect them in comparison to hockey players that have Christmas during the actual season.
