According to a report from Bild (via @iMiaSanMia), German national team head coach Julian Nagelsmann will not alter his plans for Jamal Musiala and will continue to start the Bayern Munich attacker.
As it stands, Musiala and Arsenal’s Kai Havertz will start for Germany on Sunday. Knowing Liverpool FC’s Florian Wirtz will also get the nod that leaves one spot open in the attacking quartet:
Regardless of Müller and Klopp’s suggestion to drop him, Jamal Musiala is Julian Nagelsmann’s clear starter in
central attacking midfield. He has consistently been in the starting lineup during all training sessions over the past few days. Barring any further injuries, Musiala will start behind Kai Havertz against Curaçao tomorrow, with Deniz Undav starting on the bench.
With Undav reportedly on the bench (why couldn’t Nagelsmann start Musiala at wing?), that means Galatasaray winger Leroy Sané could also get the nod. VfB Stuttgart’s Jamie Leweling could also be in the mix.
Against Curaçao, it likely will not matter, but Nagelsmann — as many feared — could get stubborn with his ideas at the expense of what is best for the team.
