Barcelona welcomed Jesse Bisiwu back to training on Monday after the summer signing suffered a thigh injury last week and was stretchered off in the Copa Catalunya.
At the time, there were fears that Bisiwu had suffered a serious injury. However, tests subsequently revealed that his injury was only a contusion.
Bisiwu is now back in training and took part in Monday’s session with the first team as Hansi Flick’s side prepare for their opening Champions League game of the new campaign against Feyenoord.
The summer signing has been registered with Barca Atletic for the 2026-27 campaign but has been included in Barcelona’s A-list for the Champions League.
We’ll have to wait and see if he is included in Flick’s matchday squad for the game at Camp Nou on Wednesday, with Bisiwu yet to make his competitive debut for the first team.
Bisiwu did feature in pre-season, impressing with a brace against FC Basel, and will be hoping Flick does hand him some first-team chances soon.
