It looks like Bayern Munich is attempting to revamp their defensive line, with reports of the club eyeing multiple transfer targets for the winter in order to potentially replace some of their current
squad. They have their eyes on Marc Guéhi and Nico Schlotterbeck (for now), and fans now have news of a third target – Murillo.
The 23-year old Brazilian international is currently donning Nottingham Forest reds, and his contract would allow him to do so until 2029. As per a report from Christian Falk and Tobi Altschäffl, captured by iMiaSanMia on Twitter, Bayern Munich might want to buy the center-backs signature in the upcoming transfer window. Compared to Franz Beckenbauer by former teammate Giuliano, Murillo is a huge talent making waves in the Premier League after just two seasons in the new atmosphere. Bayern must have noticed his impact for Nottingham, and have added him to their shopping list.
However, as mentioned before, Murillo has a contract with Nottingham Forest until 2029, so if Bayern chooses to bid for his signature, it will prove to be an expensive venture. The Brazilian center-back moved to England from Corinthians in Brazil for just 12 million euros, and his value most definitely appreciated over his tenure in the Premier League. The question is, would Murillo be worth the expense? Or should Bayern stick with Dayot Upamecano and his bonus demands? Let us know in the comments!
