Kelvin Gastelum has lost to the scale once again.
At Friday’s official Noche UFC weigh-ins, Gastelum registered at 191 pounds, five pounds over the limit for his middleweight bout with Dusko Todorovic. This marks the latest weight-cutting mishap for Gastelum, who has struggled on the scale for years whether competing in the 185- or 170-pound division.
Gastelum and Todorovic were the last fighters to weigh in, with Todorovic coming in at 186 pounds shortly after Gastelum. It is not yet known if their
bout will proceed at a catchweight and, if so, how much of Gastelum’s purse will be forfeited as penalty.
This is officially the fourth time in Gastelum’s 25-fight UFC career that he has failed to make weight, including a November 2016 miss that led to the cancellation of a scheduled bout against Donald Cerrone at UFC 205. It is the first time Gastelum has come in heavy for a middleweight bout.

All other fighters successfully made weight, including featherweight headliners Diego Lopes (146) and Jean Silva (145.5).
