As the Chicago Bears prepare for the seventh game of the season against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, both teams have released their first official injury report for week eight.
Five Bears were listed
as DNP (did not practice): RB Roschon Johnson (back), TE Cole Kmet (back), WR DJ Moore (hip), DB Tyrique Stevenson (shoulder), and RB D’Andre Swift (groin).
Johnson and Swift were surprising names to pop up. Johnson has mostly been getting game action as part of special teams, and Swift is coming off two of the best games of his Bears tenure. Meanwhile, Kmet, Stevenson, and Moore have been working through injuries and were not surprising to see on the report.
Stevenson is a major concern, especially with Nahshon Wright also on the report, as the Bears are running out of depth in their secondary. His status throughout the week will be worth tracking.
Practicing in a limited capacity were DL Grady Jarrett (knee), OL Braxton Jones (knee), K Cairo Santos (right thigh), and DB Nahshon Wright (hip). Both DL Austin Booker (knee) and LB Amen Ogbongbemiga (knee) were full participants.
The Ravens injury report is also out. The name everyone will gravitate to is QB Lamar Jackson. Per the report, Jackson (hamstring) practiced in a limited capacity on Wednesday. It remains up in the air whether he will play on Sunday or not.
The other major name, former Bears LB Roquan Smith (hamstring) was a full participant on Wednesday.
Listed as DNP was CB Marlon Humphrey (illness). S Kyle Hamilton (groin) was a limited participant. CB Chidobe Awuzie (hamstring), WR Zay Flowers (shoulder), FB Patrick Ricard (calf), T Ronnie Staley (ankle), and WR Devontez Walker (oblique) were all full participants.
The Bears take on the Ravens this Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland. The game takes place at 12:00 p.m. (Chicago time).
