Maryland men’s golf’s Emil Riegger took home the individual title at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate Wednesday. The Terps as a team finished second out of the 23 teams competing.
Through three rounds, Reigger shot 206 (70-69-67) to finish 10 under par — that mark ties his career-low under par. Riegger ultimately parred or birdied on 48 of the 54 holes.
Freshman Griffin Barke also showed out, finishing eight strokes under par. His third-round score of 66 was a career-best.
As a team, Maryland finished
22 strokes under par, good for a final score of 842 (280-286-276). It’s the squad’s lowest collective score of the year.
