Now that Week 2 of the 2026 NFL season is in the books, it’s time for an incredibly meaningful and serious exercise: NFL Power Rankings! What differentiates these rankings from all others is that they’re THE only truly accurate ones in the entire universe. Hard to believe, I know. But it’s true. Let’s take a look at how all 32 teams stack up.
(Note: Ran out of time to publish my Week 2 power rankings ahead of Thursday’s game last week. Sorry about that, my schedule was pretty hectic.)
BLG’S WEEK 3 NFL POWER RANKINGS
1 – Seattle Seahawks
(Last Week: 1) – The reigning Super Bowl champs have allowed the second-fewest points of any team in the NFL, just one point behind the NFL lead. Seattle’s defense is still a force to be reckoned with. And Drew Lock looked pretty good in Week 2, albeit against one of the NFL’s worst teams.
2 – Kansas City Chiefs (LW: 2) – It was a narrow overtime win for the Chiefs but it’s very clear that they’re in a much healthier spot than they were last year. The Pat Mahones and Andy Reid combo still make this team very dangerous.
3 – Buffalo Bills (LW: 3) – With nine total touchdowns and zero giveaways through two wins, Josh Allen is currently the betting favorite to win MVP. His odds are listed at +250 while the next closest player is Mahomes at +750.
4 – San Francisco 49ers (LW: 6) – The Niners lead the NFL in DVOA and point differential after two games. With the Cardinals up next, a 3-0 start is certainly within reach. Seems like San Fran is back to being one of the top threats in the NFC.
5 – Los Angeles Rams (LW: 7) – Aided by Jaxson Dart’s injury, the Rams bounced back from their Week 1 loss. They needed that since it seems like things were trending in a bad direction with the combination of losing to SF and Myles Garrett landing on injured reserve. Stabilized.
6 – Baltimore Ravens (LW: 4) – The Ravens entered Week 2 as 8.5-point home favorites. They entered the fourth quarter on Sunday with an eight-point lead. They lost the game by seven.
7 – Philadelphia Eagles (LW: 10) – Jalen Hurts is the Eagles’ MVP through two games. But the offense needs to figure out their early down struggles so that they don’t have to keep relying on him to bail them out on third-and-long. Could be good if they decided to stop running into a wall on first and second downs. Let Jalen Cook!
8 – Cincinnati Bengals (LW: 11) – Seems like the Bengals have finally figured some things out on defense? Only seven teams have allowed fewer points through two games. If that unit holds up, they’ll be seriously competing for the AFC North crown.
9 – Minnesota Vikings (LW: 16) – Brian Flores is on his way to getting a second chance as a head coach. Even with Caleb Williams getting hurt, it’s impressive to see the Vikings held Chicago to just three points … one week after the Bears dropped 59.
10 – Chicago Bears (LW: 5) – Ben Johnson described Caleb Williams as “week-to-week” with a hamstring injury, so, it seems like he’s going to miss some time. The Bears seem to be optimistic about Tyson Bagent, who hasn’t started a game since 2023. We’ll soon see if that confidence is misguided or not. Big test for the Bears with the Eagles coming to Chicago on Monday night.
11 – New England Patriots (LW: 12) – The Pats have allowed the fewest points in the NFL through two games. That’s the good news. The bad news is that only four teams have scored fewer points. And A.J. Brown still has to miss at least three more games.
12 – Dallas Cowboys (LW: 13) – Dak Prescott looked pretty good against Washington. The Dallas defense did not. The Cowboys actually got outgained by 57 yards and lost the time of possession battle despite the fact that the Commanders lost their starting quarterback in this game. The Cowboys won by 17 points but the game was effectively closer than the final score looked.
13 – Houston Texans (LW: 8) – The Texans are 0-2 after getting some Super Bowl hype leading up to the season. With games against the Bills and Bengals, it’s not like they’ve had an easy schedule … but they had home field advantage in both matchups. And they only mustered six points against Cincy.
14 – Detroit Lions (LW: 9) – The Lions’ defense is atrocious. They desperately need to get healthy on that side of the ball. If they can, there’s still hope for this team since the offense can put up points.
15 – New Orleans Saints (LW: 17) – Looking like Kellen Moore might be a good head coach. Tyler Shough leads the NFL in passing yards after two games. The Saints can’t be slept on after nearly stealing a win in Detroit and then being the Ravens in Baltimore.
16 – Denver Broncos (LW: 15) – Bo Nix had 14 giveaways last year. He’s already up to 21.4% of that total through two games this season.
17 – Jacksonville Jaguars (LW: 14) – The Jags have the makings of a middle of the pack team that holds little league-wide relevance. But they’re not in a bad spot to win the AFC South considering all of their division rivals are off to 0-2 starts.
18 – Las Vegas Raiders (LW: 23) – The Raiders are 2-0 for the first time since 2021! Aren’t you surprised it was that recent? Kind of fun to see them not be a total doormat. Nice to see Nakobe Dean playing well for his new team.
19 – Green Bay Packers (LW: 20) – Green Bay needed a 10-point fourth quarter comeback to force overtime and beat the Jets, a team that nearly outgained them by 100 yards. Not exactly a feel good win.
20 – New York Giants (LW: 18) – Oof. The G-Men followed up an exciting Week 1 win with a blowout loss in primetime. While Jaxson Dart’s status looms largest, New York also suffered some other key injuries on Monday night. We’ll see if they can navigate a relatively easy schedule coming up.
21 – Pittsburgh Steelers (LW: 19) – Lol:
22 – Carolina Panthers (LW: 26) – Don’t look now but Bryce Young ranks sixth in passer rating (113.3) after two games.
23 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers (LW: 21) – The Bucs shouldn’t have paid Baker Mayfield. Losing to the Browns is very unserious behavior.
24 – Indianapolis Colts (LW: 25) – Shane Steichen opting for a field goal instead of going for the win in overtime had to be frustrating for Colts fans. You’re trusting your defense to prevent Pat Mahomes from getting a field goal? Really? With the Texans up next, either Houston or Indy will be in an 0-3 hole to start the season. Do or die.
25 – Los Angeles Chargers (LW: 22) – You wonder if Mike McDaniel is having second thoughts about deciding to join the Bolts.
26 – Washington Commanders (LW: 24) – The Commanders are the first team to two division losses. With Jayden Daniels injured and a game against the Seahawks up next, they’re staring an 0-3 start in the face. Dan Quinn’s seat is getting very warm very fast.
27 – Arizona Cardinals (LW: 27) – Week 1 was a cute moment but Week 2 revealed who the Cardinals are truly going to be more often than not this year.
28 – New York Jets (LW: 29) – While playing at home, they blew a lead to an uninspiring Packers team. Will be interesting to see how they fare against the Lions in Week 3.
29 – Tennessee Titans (LW: 30) – The Titans had nothing to feel good about after losing to the Jets in Week 1. Week 2 offered a moral victory since they nearly beat the Eagles. Cam Ward had one of the better games of his career against Vic Fangio. Maybe there’s some hope for him?
30 – Cleveland Browns (32) – The Browns beating the Bucs only delayed Deshaun Watson’s inevitable benching. But congrats to them on not being THE worst team in the NFL?
31 – Atlanta Falcons (LW: 28) – Cooper Rush is 0-4 in his last four starts. They were drawing dead with him under center. Now we’ll see if Michael Penix came come in and make them more interesting at all.
32 – Miami Dolphins (LW: 31) – Prior to a 77-yard touchdown on the Dolphins’ final offensive play in garbage time, Malik Willis was 13/22 for 120 yards (5.5 average), 0 TD, 0 INT, and a 74.1 passer rating. It’s not like has a great supporting cast to work with but that’s not going to cut it.
