Florida State has added two quarterbacks via the transfer portal already, but the Seminoles decided to bring another quarterback into the fold today from the JUCO ranks.
Malachi Marshall has pledged to the Seminoles and will transfer to Tallahassee.
Marshall is 6-foot-2, 170 pounds, calls Charlotte, North Carolina his hometown and played high school football in Rock Hill, South Carolina. He played for Iowa Western CC
in 2025 and was named the 2025 NJCAA Division I National Offensive Player of the Year, leading his team to the national title. He threw for 2750 yards on a 63% completion rate and had 33 touchdowns to eight interceptions. He ran for another 120 yards and three scores.

Iowa Western Quarterback Malachi Marshall has been named the 2025 NJCAA DI Football Offensive Player of the Year.
Sophomore Quarterback Malachi Marshall led the Reivers to their fourth national title in the NJCAA DI Football Championship. En route to the Championship victory, the No.2 Reivers defeated No.3 ranked Tyler Apaches in the 2025 NJCAA DI Football Semifinal and then beat No.1 Hutchinson 28-10 to claim the title.
This season, Marshall had 33 Touchdowns, 201 completions, 2750 Yards, and a 63% completion rate.
The Charlotte, NC native had offers from NCAA Division I schools including Central Arkansas, Eastern Kentucky and Northern State.
