The TCU Horned Frogs (3-1; 0-1 Big 12) will host the Colorado Buffaloes (2-3; 0-2 Big 12) in the first contest between the programs since Colorado head coach Deion Sanders made his FBS coaching debut vs.
the Frogs in Fort Worth to open the 2023 season.
After a strong 2024 campaign, Colorado has had a rough start to the 2025 season, shuffling quarterbacks while falling just short in winnable games against Georgia Tech and BYU while also suffering a blowout loss at Houston. The star for the Buffs is offensive lineman Jordan Seaton, an elite prospect that has lived up to the billing. He’ll be protecting quarterback Kaidon Salter; the Liberty transfer has been the best option behind center for Coach Prime, throwing for 684 yards and 5 touchdowns with just 1 interception this season.
TCU is coming off a heartbreaking loss at defending Big 12 champion Arizona State, surrendering a 17-0 advantage. QB Josh Hoover had his worst game of the season, giving away three bad turnovers and throwing zero touchdowns. The TCU running game struggled without top RB Kevorian Barnes, rushing for just 10 total yards as a teams vs. ASU. Perhaps facing the league’s worst rush defense will provide a spark for the floundering Frogs’ rushing attack.
