Tennessee Titans interim coach Mike McCoy said yesterday that he should have gone for the 4th and 3 from the Indianapolis Colts’ 42 on Sunday instead of punting. The Titans were down 17-7 at the time.
They weren’t going to win that game either way, considering the fact that they had no answer for Jonathan Taylor, but the punt there made absolutely zero sense. Why does everyone coaching the Titans need 24 hours to understand a football decision? At least we don’t have to worry about McCoy being considered for the full-time job after the season.
- Easton Freeze says all of the coaches on the Titans staff got contract extensions before the season that run through at least 2027. That means Amy Adams-Strunk will be paying the whole staff not to work for the Titans through 27. The dysfunction of this franchise knows no bounds.
- After the Roger McCreary trade yesterday, the Titans signed CB Micah Robinson off the Green Bay Packers practice squad. The Packers took Robinson in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft. There’s some talent there:
- The trade of McCreary leaves only Chig Okonkwo on the roster from the 2020-2022 drafts. Jon Robinson might be mad that people are still blaming him for where the Titans are, but he’s at the top of a long list of people who put them here.
- I hope you are right, Bo:
