Good morning everyone! Happy Monday!
The playoffs are set to continue today with a pair of National League playoff games. For those lucky enough to get to watch, the Los Angeles Dodgers are set to take
on the Philadelphia Phillies in Game 2. The defending World Series Champion Dodgers rallied late to take Game 1 and take home field advantage. Now LA will get a chance to head home with a two-game series lead. The Phillies have to play like their season is on the line today because going down 0-2 to the Dodgers is pretty much a death sentence. A’s fans will see a familiar face on the mound for Philly as left-hander Jesus Luzardo gets the ball for the Phillies with their season teetering. It’ll be a battle of lefties as the Dodgers turn to Blake Snell. This is going to be a good one this afternoon.
The other game today is the Milwaukee Brewers and the Chicago Cubs. This divisional matchup will see the Brew Crew go with an opener with lefty Aaron Ashby. He’s been stellar for Milwaukee this year, in a relief role. Now he’ll get tasked with taking on the top of the Chicago lineup. The Cubs counter Ashby with a starter in Shota Imanaga. It’s all left-handed pitching today, what do you know? The Cubs are just as desperate for a win as the Phillies are in their series. Today could determine if this is going to be a quick series or go the full length.
Enjoy the playoff baseball today everyone, and have a great start to your week!
